Marco and Massimo Pieri of Rimini, Italy have aquired 'Helium', hull number 360, built in 1984. Helium was purchased from Cap d'Antibes (France) on January 14 2009 and Marco emailed to say they are busy sorting out the boat and Italian regsitration paperwork and hope to get Helium launched in April.

Although we don't have any photos yet Marco says that Helium is in very good condition and is well equipped, with new keel and rudder (by J. Fauroux), and an intriguing "bow sprit" that moves 1m (I think this is port/starboard, but this may have lost out in translation).

Sailing plans are ambitious with two Adriatic Sea regattas: Rimini-Tremiti Islands- Rimini (more or less 400 miles, end of May) and the Cinquecento x 2 di Caorle (500 miles double handed) starting mid June.

We look forward to hearing some results and to seeing pictures of that sprit in action.
